Mirror Polishing Activity

Polishing a mirror is a classic Montessori activity that teaches children practical life skills and helps them develop concentration, coordination, and a sense of accomplishment.

Material you may need to set up a mirror polishing activity:

  • A small mirror

  • A small bottle with natural cleaning solution

  • A small bowl

  • A small sponge for applying cleaning solution

  • A finger mitt or polishing cloth

  • A small container to hold the extra polishing cloths if needed

  • A working mat if needed

  • A large sponge to wipe the working mat if needed

  • An apron for the child

Steps may include:
